Try to disassemble the phone unscrew board take it off,then put back assemble the phone & try to charge or connect to itunes.

What caused problem Water/dropped/foll/thrown/kick/restore/fake charger?

Better replace it i not recommend jumpers.

hello sir, i have an ipod touch 3rd gen no power but when i replace a new batt it will works. but the problem is canot connect into itunes and could not recognize charger. can you give me an idea about this problem? tnx in advance........

3GS 8GB was water damaged. Its work well except no accept charges by and sources. Try to replace new Dock flex module or even working housing also the same result. Only show pop up the message ""charging is not supported with this accessory". Magnified the 2 Mosfet, there are the new version of handling circuit that have no the diagram. (see the picture)

Anyone can advice, How to handle?

after resolved the simcard connector/contact
i have a 3gs without the wifi adress it is gree in settings and the blootooth is also gree ?
how can i fix it? where is the Wifi IC .

Dear Wites,

It was dried when come to my. But the dirty (flaky white fungus) is in mosfet area / LCD conn#1 / 3G PA / wifi hold (pic#3) / backlight fuse from 109IC and also some abit on dock conn#4. Also battery swelling like a balloon. but did replace the new batt. I think all over the board border was wet.

I wash by sovent in ultrasonic pot almost 7-8 times. Remain only charging problem, It may be some parts discontinue but I can not recognize the new re-version of circuit diagram/board layout changed.

Do you see in first photo on top left corner that ic may be you problem,you can replace it,or remove it & see how much prints are connected under it.
Then you will try to make jumper.There are 4 prints see how they are connected on board.And post

I have a 3Gs 32gb water, or rather beer damaged, at first it did nothing except heat the battery. I cleaned it with a ultrasonic cleaner, replaced the battery, charge connector and LCD. now all except wifi is greyed and bluetooth is scanning but not finding anything.

My question is: is reflowing the next step and which components do I need to replace if nay?

Bro connect a charged battery & see what is heating,where is heating there is short.Post result.
