the imei is on nand memory, u501 (baseband) and u601. If u601 is broken or removed, then it would be problem on imei.
The most times is baseband ic but some customers had error (-1) after battery replacement (they broke u601 with a screwdriver)

It seems to be u601 your problem. And if u601 is broken you can't replace with an other because it's pair the baseband. You can't replace with a new I have tried both with no results. We definitely need a programmer to fix them.
And if the programmer is fake ,then there is no solution yet.

Red face Help!!

Hi Guys,

I am in a really sticky situation. I had an iphone 6 - 64gb.

I had tons of data on it.

Was using whatsapp when i encountered the white screen.

I connected to itunes and it gave me the option to Update or Restore. I chose update. Got UNKNOWN ERROR -1

Can someone help or recommend me someone that can. I live in the UK

What if imei, wifi and bt are ok, but no modem.
Witch ic is responsable.
I got one iphone 5 for charging flex replacement, after repair phone power on but remain searchibg fir network and no baseband.
U601 is not cracked and its already covered with both antenna. I dont know how this happen before or after repair. Anyway there is a call in call history before 2 days.

Now after restore with itunes it give error 48 at last when restoring microprogram.
Can imei be ok uf u601 damaged?

Any expert idea?
