Member: 2501840 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Hey guys, I found this forum as I was searching for a solution to the following problem: I have an iPhone 5 and after changing the back housing, I lost the IMEI and the modem firmware. So, it is always "Searching" and doesn't say "No SIM" always searching whether or not the SIM card is in. Which IC should I fix and how? Can I fix it by heating the IC to what degree and how long? Or should I reflow it, what degree? Assuming that it is U601, I shot a video of my IC. Please watch this in high quality in full screen, pause when needed. youtube .com / watch?v=kLpMoR3pkNg (it doesn't let me post link, because I don't have 10 messages in the forum yet) Is this the correct one? It didn't seem damaged to me. What do you think? I don't want to lose my jailbreak and stuff on my HDD IC. I need advice, I'd appreciate your help. Kind Regards. |

Member: 2501840 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | iphone 5 baseband chip damaged(error -1 itunes) sellers of that thing didn't reply to my inquiry. they don't understand english well. only thing they wrote me was: "what can i help you?" also i witnessed them deleting comments from the video, which reveal that thing is fake. i need info from a person with real experience. all speculations. where is imei stored? half of guys say it is u601, other half say u501. i'll not act fast, i'll keep it until i get certain information and confirmation from other technicians.
