Member: 11334 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Mate its easy as to cutout... Just trace around ur old sim with a sharp object and grab some sharp scissors... Thats all I did Takes 1 minute max and the cards arnt easy to crack if u are careful, I cut my mates out for him and its easy, just take it one small piece at a time (dont chop it right in half work ur way down to it) Happy cutting mate |

Member: 866 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | ][No_WaY goes cutting ... There are two types of silver cards: some with normal contacts (maybe 16F876) and others with extended contacts (maybe 16F877). Both work well. Of course, the template of cuts are the same for both models, and the size of the microsims (after the cuts) obviously it is the same one. For your model, the long cuts coincide exactly with the limit of the golden area of contacts. This is a problem in a few telephones that have a microsim connector with a metallic frame. Here, there is a short-circuit risk. |

Member: 4228 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Use this guide: http://www.mobileshop.org/usertech/simcutting.htm Don't worry about the size of the contact area being larger than a normal SIM. If you're careful and follow the guide exactly it will work fine. |

Member: 7664 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | To Simemu Hi wonder if you could help me .Is there a way of switching between cards/providers without switching the phone off and back on then entering new pin. I have a nokia 3330 and the command *3370# doesn't seem to work on ver 4.01 if I remember correctly *3370# worked on ver 4.0. Thanks in advance regards Malcolm |

When cutting you have to be very careful, and use a sharp knife to avoid putting too much stress on the card. You're cutting quite close to the die so if there's too much bending you can damage it. The first card I cut using those instructions no longer worked, but I have since done two more and both work fine. It is a risky process but unfortunately unless someone makes SIM-sized gold or silver cards (which is unlikely) there's no other option.

If *3370# does not to work in 4.00 in your phone, then in the 4.01 does not work too. This is a general problem of all Nokia, the Refresh command is not correctly implemented in the soft of the phones, sorry. Switch from the menu and then force the find of the network again. Regards

Member: 10582 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 99 | To use SIM-EMU, you need a SilverCard/GreenCard to write in it the SIM-EMU soft. To write the soft in the card, you need a TE-20 to program the flash and a Phoenix to program the external EEPROM. I don't know if your programmer is able to do this task. Regards |
