Member: 1872864 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | e353 failed flash I am attempting to resurrect my e353 and have the following logs from revskills: 0D 0F 38 32 30 30 43 2D 2D 46 41 43 50 41 43 5A 4D 8200C--FACPACZ M Also when I try to flash using the flasher tool (in recovery mode) I get another error (see attachment). Anyone have any ideas how I can recover this device? |

Member: 1872864 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | The modem is definitely an e353. I used (I believe it is yours) unlocker tool for e367 and e353 to unlock the modem originally which seemed to change the modem identifier for some reason. Now I can't seem to get it back to being an e353. I flashed some e367 firmware to the device which seems to have flashed successfully however it cannot register with the 3G network. |

Member: 10397 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 45 | You were trying to flash HiSilicon(HS) firmware - v. 21.... - to Qualcomm(QC)-based device (MDM8200). fr3nsis is right, they are incompatible. Quote:
"u" in model number of Huawei devices means QC chipset, "s" - Hisilicon chipset. Firmware version numbers for QC start with "11", for HS - with "21". | |

Member: 1872864 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Thanks for that it is now making more sense to me. It is strange that all of the e353 firmwares that I have found on the net seem to identify as e367U. I'm guessing these devices are fairly similar. One more question. I don't seem to be able to find one that works in my particular variant of the e353. Is there a way to read the firmware from one device and write it to another (if I was to obtain another working e353)? |
