I also have a problem like gkmobiles above.
I bought Content Extractor for my BEST dongle and tried to update the dongle with DongleManager.
While updating I have got such errors as above.

Then I wrote an email to dongle(at)infinity-best(dot)com and received an answer that I must update drivers and then update dongle.
When I did so, and tried to update the dongle, I still have error of same kind.

Also you can insert Smart-Card into another Card-Reader.

- Run DongleManager
- Select [BEST] at bottom of page instead of "Autodetect"
- Update Dongle firmware

Your connected Smart-Card is not Infinity product.
You ust connect Infinity Box/Dongle.
